Libya Journal of Applied Science and Technology (LJAST) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the College of Engineering Technology – Janzour, Libya. The journal aims to provide a scholarly platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in applied sciences, engineering, and technology, with a particular focus on practical and industry-oriented studies.

LJAST publishes original research articles, review papers, and applied case studies that contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and technological development at both national and international levels. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that bridges theoretical foundations with real-world applications.

The journal is published on a semi-annual basis and accepts manuscripts in English and Arabic, with preference given to submissions that include English titles and abstracts to enhance international visibility.

Publication Fees:

  • For articles without a DOI, the fee is LYD 400, equivalent to USD 65.

  • Once a DOI is assigned, the fee becomes LYD 600, equivalent to USD 100.

Peer Review Process

Libya Journal of Applied Science and Technology follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and originality of published work. Each submitted manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

The editorial board evaluates submissions based on scientific rigor, originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and ethical compliance. The average review period typically ranges between four and eight weeks.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

LJAST is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal adheres to internationally recognized principles of ethical publishing and takes all necessary measures to prevent publication malpractice.

Authors are required to ensure the originality of their work and properly acknowledge all sources. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed by authors, reviewers, and editors.

The journal reserves the right to retract or correct published articles in cases of confirmed ethical violations.
