Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the impact of fiscal policy instruments on the unemployment rate in the Libyan economy for the period (2008–2021). To achieve this objective, the research addressed the concept of fiscal policy and unemployment, as well as the development of some related economic variables. The descriptive-analytical approach and the statistical and mathematical analytical method were used to measure and evaluate the impact of fiscal policy instruments on the unemployment rate in the Libyan economy during the period (2008–2021). The research findings concluded that "the relationship between public expenditure and tax revenues (as independent variables) and the unemployment rate in Libya (as a dependent variable) during the study period is an insignificant relationship, or, having no effect."
